Who Brits most closely associate with China: Chairman Mao(55%), Jackie Chan (48%) and Confucius (34%).
Who the Chinese most closely associate wth Britain: Prince William (41%), David Beckham (40%) and the Queen (36%).
Brits best know China for its: Food (45%), economy (35%) and its links with Hong Kong (31%).
The Chinese best know Britain for its: football (52%), the royal family (33%) and England’s capital, London (30%)
Chinese rate British popular culture as Harry Potter (23%), James Bond (11%), The Beatles (10%), Oasis (9%) and Alexander McQueen (5%). More than a quarter (26%) of respondents wrongly associated the Japanese art of sumo wrestling with China
