China Design Now at Liberty – a showcase of contemporary Chinese design throughout the store in collaboration with the V&A’s Spring exhibition.

March 2008 sees an explosion of young, contemporary and innovative Chinese design at Liberty as the store embarks upon a collaboration with the V&A for their much anticipated Spring exhibition – China Design Now.

Liberty will pay homage to all things modern across Chinese fashion, art, photography, interiors and design with a wealth of product and installations throughout the store.

Highlights include

• Acclaimed artist Michael Wolf’s: ‘The Real Toy Story’ in windows and on 4th floor, and his Chinese architecture photography collection ‘Architectures of Density’ on the 4th floor.

• Fashion designer Han Feng’s celebrated English National Opera ‘Madam Butterfly’ opera costumes in-store

• A variety of contemporary Chinese design: Lisa Cheung’s decadent chandeliers, Pamela So’s artwork, Frances Dows antique lacquered modern furniture, Wok Media’s sculpture, Ming Midern furniture and Sam Buxton’s techno chair

• Chinese music/sound element in-store

• Films Screenings in collaboration with CHINA NOW

Monday- Wednesday & Friday: 10am – 8pm

Thursday: 10am – 9pm

Saturday: 10am – 7pm

Sunday: 12pm – 6pm

ADMISSION: Free.
